„Reverie“
This collection is inspired by the visual worlds of Pre-Raphaelite paintings.
What draws me in was the emotions they carry. The softness, the melancholy, the quiet intensity. But also the storys behind the paintings.
Rather than recreating historical clothing or replicating the garments shown in the artworks, the focus lies on translation.
On transforming atmosphere into fabric.
I imagined the garments as if the paintings had gently come to life and stepped out of their frames.
Light and delicate materials meet heavier, darker ones. Sheer layers interact with weight and structure.
These contrasts create balance and tension.
They allow softness and strength to exist side by side.
Nature appears throughout the collection in different ways. It surrounds the body and influences movement.
The garments feel shaped by their environment, as if they belong to it.
